Roller Coaster

Hey there, my fabulous folks! It’s that time again – school bells are ringing, and I know your minds are all  one those IEPs. Yep, I’m right there with you, and let’s be real, ain’t nobody excited about those IEP meetings that can feel like a rollercoaster rides from hell!

So picture this: you’re at the IEP meeting, ready to speak up for your kiddo, and then bam! You trip over your words and end up feeling like you just stuffed your foot in your mouth. 😬 Trust me, it’s happened to the best of us!

But hey, how ’bout this for a wild thought: using IEP strategies at home. 🏡 I know, I know, you’re not running a classroom, you’re not the school principal, and you’re definitely not moonlighting as a professional theripist. So why even bother with IEP stuff at home, right?

Well, think about this – what if these strategies could actually make life at home smoother and more enjoyable for your kiddo? 🤔 I mean, think about it; some of those moves they’re busting out at school might just be the secret sauce you’ve been looking for to ease your family game! Because guess what? IEPs ain’t just for the school; they’re for the whole community.

Now let’s think about those IEP goals. 🎯 I know, they can look like a bunch of blah blah blah that’s got you nodding along like you’re at a hip-hop show, but hold up – I want you to peel back those layers. Solid IEP goals is like laying the foundation for your child’s success, and guess what? I’m here to be your guide through this maze.

First things first, you’re probably wondering, “What’s the first step before a big IEP meeting?” 🤔 Well, no worries, ’cause I’ve got your back! It’s all about the prep, and it starts with info. Jot down your kid’s strengths, hurdles, and any questions you’ve got. And don’t be shy to slide into the DMs of teachers and therapists to grab their insights. Remember, you are not alone! 💪

When the meeting takes, it’s your time to shine! 💃Go in confidently, speak your truth, but don’t forget to listen. Remember, you’re the guru on all things your kiddo, so don’t hold back – share what you know works best for them. And don’t be scared to ask questions if things start sounding foreign. This is your baby’s future!

Now, after the meeting’s wrapped, guess what? The ball’s still in your court. 🏀 Keep that school communication going, watch progress, and be ready to shake things up if need be.  But be flexible!

Again, remember, you’re not alone in this journey! IF you are here, it means you are looking for your community. We’re all in this together! 💪 Comment below on the freebie on how to rock that IEP meeting like a champ.
