The SOAR Difference

A different way to walk this advocacy road.

"If you have ever left an IEP meeting feeling like the school team just did not see your child's true intelligence, or wondering why you are paying for services that should be free, I have been exactly where you are."

Who We Are

Students Overcoming Academic Roadblocks

When we think of soaring, we picture rising above obstacles, catching the right currents, reaching new heights with grace and purpose. Just as birds read air currents and thermals to fly effortlessly, students carry natural abilities and strengths that, when supported correctly, allow them to rise above any roadblock in their path.

SOAR Educational Services helps families identify and remove the barriers that keep students from accessing the educational experiences that are rightfully theirs. There are many companies out there with the SOAR name. None share our commitment to curiosity-driven advocacy that honors each student's inherent worth.

Our Approach

How Can SOAR Educational Services Help?

SOAR Educational Services believes families are the experts on their own children and the captains of their educational journey. We bring the navigation support and partnership to help you chart a course toward your goals.

Through collaborative problem-solving and a "Help me understand…" approach, we work alongside families and school teams to identify environmental changes that unlock student success.

When you are navigating special education processes, transition planning, or community resources, it is natural to feel overwhelmed by meetings, paperwork, timelines, and unfamiliar terminology. Just as skilled pilots read wind patterns and adjust their approach, SOAR helps you understand the educational landscape and use your family's unique strengths to overcome any academic roadblock.

We focus on what is possible, assume competence, and work to ensure your student's rightful place in every educational and community setting where they choose to participate.

Rightful Presence

This is not just a belief. It is the foundation of everything I do.

Your child's disability does not diminish their worth, their potential, or their right to claim space in environments that recognize their full humanity.

Family Advocacy

When I Advocate for Your Family

I bring my Out of School Time administrative experience to translate what your child's IEP or 504 Plan is actually asking of the school team. Between 3 and 6 PM, kids tell you the truth, because most kids do not have to answer to adults during those hours. You get to see who they really are. That perspective gives me a clear read on how children actually experience their school day versus what gets documented in meetings.

Together we create materials and systems that help school staff support your child correctly, as a whole learner, not a collection of deficits. That means we are not only addressing what support your child needs. We are training the adults around them to understand the why behind their behavior, emotions, social interactions, and learning patterns.

Whether we are talking about ADHD, Autism, OCD, dyslexia, dyscalculia, dysgraphia, PDA, or any other way your child's brain works, we are going to have explicit, research-grounded conversations about what actually supports students like yours.

Cultural competency is non-negotiable in this work.

Your family's cultural values, communication styles, and ways of understanding disability matter deeply. I work to understand how your cultural background intersects with your advocacy journey, because effective support honors the whole family, not just the diagnosis.

Student Support

When I Work Directly with Students

We must provide adequate accommodations and teach skills explicitly to disabled students. One without the other leaves our children struggling unnecessarily.

Here is what sets my approach apart. I start with your child's special interests, strengths, and natural curiosity. When students feel seen and valued for who they are, not just managed for what they struggle with, they become invested in their own growth.

Connection comes before any demands.

Before I ask a child to work on challenging skills, I make sure they know I see their brilliance, understand their perspective, and respect their way of experiencing the world.

When we truly see students as whole people, we create educational experiences that bring them safety, joy, and growth, all at the same time.

The Bottom Line

What this means for your child

Your child is not broken and does not need to be fixed. They need adults who understand how their brain works and are committed to creating environments where they can thrive, not just survive.

They deserve accommodations that actually accommodate, not token gestures that check boxes. They deserve explicit skill instruction that builds on their strengths, not remediation that focuses on their gaps. Most of all, they deserve to feel proud of who they are while building the tools they need to navigate a world that was not designed with them in mind.

This is what rightful presence looks like in action.
Why families choose SOAR

What it is like to work with me

Different, on purpose.

There are a lot of people in this field, and most of them care deeply. Here is what tends to be different about the way I do it, so you can decide whether it fits your family.

01

You see the price first

Every service on this site shows what it costs before you talk to me. You can look at the whole ladder, from a $5 Discovery call to a full year walked side by side, and choose what fits your family and your budget with your eyes open. Nobody should have to book a call to find out whether they can afford help.

02

I do not stop at eighteen

When IDEA services end, most families find that nobody calls and nobody hands them off. I work in that season. Young adults ages 21 to 25 and beyond, building toward work, independence, and a real place in the community. It is the stage almost nobody plans for and almost no advocate serves. I do.

03

This is a relationship, not a single meeting

You can work with me for one focused conversation, and plenty of families do. You can also have me beside you for a whole school year, or all year with no cap, or month to month through the membership when you want to lead your own advocacy with someone who knows the road riding along. Most families only reach for help once something has already gone sideways. You never have to wait for that moment.

04

Your child already belongs

I do not walk into meetings to fight for a seat at the table. Your child belongs in every classroom, every hallway, and every part of the school day by right, and that is not something we ask for or earn. Accommodations do not grant a privilege, they clear a barrier that was already in the way. So the work is curiosity instead of combat, "help me understand" instead of demands, and a school team that ends up on the same side of the table as you. That is what From Chaos to Collaboration℠ means in practice.

If that sounds like what you have been looking for, start with a Discovery call. Five dollars, thirty minutes, and you will leave knowing exactly what I recommend and why.

Where we work

Rooted in Florida, working with families everywhere

Wherever you are.

SOAR is based in St. Petersburg. I meet families in person across Central Florida on a case by case basis.

Everything I do also runs virtually, which means I sit in IEP and 504 meetings with families in all fifty states. Wherever you are, the work is the same. We get clear on what your child needs, we name the barriers, and we walk into that meeting together.

Ready When You Are

Ready to work together?

If this approach resonates with you, if you are ready to move from fighting for scraps to claiming what your child rightfully deserves, let's talk about how we can partner.
